How It Started

Cozy Pebble Stories was created by a father of a 4-year-old girl. Watching my daughter navigate big feelings — fear, excitement, sadness, wonder — I found myself searching for content that met her where she was: slowly, gently, without rushing her through the emotion.

I could not always find what I was looking for. So I began creating it. These stories are my attempt to share what I have come to believe: that children do not need to be fixed or fast-forwarded through their feelings. They need to feel seen, held, and accompanied — one soft breath at a time.

Lumi’s World

Every story takes place in a soft, consistent world. The world stays the same because children need that stability. The feelings do the growing.

Lumi

The Gentle Unicorn

Lumi feels everything first and biggest. She is warm, sensitive, and deeply loving, learning one soft breath at a time that being brave does not mean not being scared.

Lia

The Warm Hand-Holder

Lia notices feelings before anyone else does. She is the first to reach out a hand. Calm and steady, she makes the world feel a little safer just by being in it.

Rio

The Playful Jokester

Rio brings warmth through laughter. Quick to jump in, quick to joke, always reminding everyone that scary things look much smaller when you are laughing with a friend.

Noa

The Quiet Star-Pointer

Noa is the quiet observer. She notices stars, small flowers, and things others walk past. Her stillness is a kind of superpower that anchors the whole group.

Mossy

The Wise Teddy Bear

Mossy is small, slightly worn, and very wise. He speaks rarely but says the most important things. Always carried by Lumi, he makes even the darkest room feel a little warmer.
